This Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) certification course is being offered by Car Seat Connection through the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC).

This training covers the mechanics of a collision, Canadian legislation governing child restraints, and the different stages and types of child restraint systems. Participants will gain hands-on practice with a variety of installation methods and develop the skills needed to guide parents and caregivers in selecting and using car seats and booster seats correctly.

Those who successfully complete the program will receive a three-year CPST certification, membership in CPSAC, volunteer liability insurance, access to regional and national networks of CPSTs, and ongoing support as technology and standards evolve.
