This is a hybrid online/in-person re-certification option for CPSTs who have had their training lapse in the past year, or for CPSTs with soon to be expiring certification who would like more support recertifying.
This course will require:
– Online, self-directed learning modules that will be sent to you (approx 3-4 hours)
– Two live, online training sessions over zoom with a CPST Instructor (1 hour & 3 hours)
– In-person car-seat check event where an instructor will assess your practical skills (approx 3 hours)
Location: Online, with in-person clinic options available in:
– Saint-Hyacinthe, QC
– Hamilton, ON
– Halifax, NS
– Charlottetown, PE
– there may be additional location options with individual local instructors across the country (the recertification candidate must help to arrange in-person sessions for themselves)
Dates: online options April 7th, 8th, April 10th, 13th, 14th
All in-person supervised car seat checks must be completed within 1 month of the final online session.
The cost for this course is $115*
This fee includes certification with the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada for 3 years, a digital copy of the manual and all clinic supplies.
* If you are involved with Child Safety Link and/or IWK the cost for this course will be $75*
