Become a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Learn to teach proper car seat and booster seat use and installation to caregivers. Successful course participants are certified with CPSAC for three years, and return to their communities and organizations to support caregivers either in a volunteer or paid capacity. The course involves classroom instruction, hands-on activities indoors and outside in vehicles, and ends with a public car seat clinic where caregivers come for in-person support with their car seats and booster seats. Theory and practical skills are assessed in a variety of ways throughout the course.
