SUMMARY:CPST Training - Winnipeg\, MB
DESCRIPTION:The Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) training course is offered through the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC). This course is well-suited for anyone who works with\, transports\, or cares for children\, including (but not limited to) people in the following fields: \n\nHealthcare\nFamily and birth support professionals\nInjury prevention and health promotion\nFirst responders\nFamily resource centres\, social services agencies\n\nSuccessful completion of the course requires 100% attendance for both the classroom and clinic portions\, with skills assessment by the instructor(s) throughout the course. Successful candidates will receive a professional certificate that is valid for 3 years. \nAbout the CPST Certification Course\nPlease view FAQs here. \nCourse dates and times:\n100% attendance is required for successful completion of this course. Regular short breaks will be offered throughout\, and there will be at least half an hour for lunch. \nWednesday\, February 25 through Saturday\, February 28\, with indoor space for vehicles. 8:30-4:30pm Wed-Fri\, schedule TBA on Saturday. \nThere is last-minute subsidized space available in this course and priority will be given to those who directly work to support families and caregivers. DESCRIPTION:Register for a FREE child car seat appointment to learn how to properly use and install your child’s car seat in your vehicle. \nAppointments are offered most Wednesdays\, and registration opens 3 weeks prior to the date. If there is not an appointment available at a time that works for you\, please email emma.schmidt@sickkids.ca to be placed on a waitlist. \n Location: 555 University Ave\, please park your vehicle on the ramp near the entrance to the hospital. \nNote:  \n\nOne seat per appointment. Please book back-to back appointments if you have more than one seat.\nInterpretation services can be requested ahead of time by emailing emma.schmidt@sickkids.ca.\n\nCancellation Policy:  \nIf you are unable to keep your appointment\, kindly let us know so that we can offer the spot to another family: emma.schmidt@sickkids.ca.
