DESCRIPTION:This course is now full – to be added to the wait list for a space please enter your contact information: \nhttps://forms.gle/LxnmJcfwodXmfK2j7 \nThis is a 4 day training course to certify you as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST). \n\n\nWith this training you can:\n– Plan a community seat check event\n– Give a booster seat presentation at your local school or community centre\n– Answer car seat questions for a parenting or prenatal class\n– Connect with local law enforcement to plan a roadside check\n– Meet with parents and caregivers to offer one-on-one support\n– Provide a workshop for your staff\nSuccessful course participants are certified with the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada for three years. The course involves classroom instruction\, hands-on activities indoors and outside in vehicles\, and ends with a public car seat clinic where caregivers come for in-person support with their car seats and booster seats. \n\nThis training will take place all day on Wednesday April 29th\, Thursday 30th\, Friday May 1st\, and a half-day on Saturday May 2nd 2026 at:\n\n40 Enman Crescent\,\nCharlottetown\, PE\nC1E 1E6\n\n\nCourse Timing: 8:30 – 4:45 Wednesday\, Thursday\, Friday\n\nSaturday – half-day morning car seat clinic 8:30 – 12:30 at CHANCES (77 Upper Prince St. Charlottetown)\n\n\n\nThe cost for this course is $300\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYour CPSAC membership fees for certification (3 years)\, textbook\, and all clinic supplies are included in this cost.\n\n\n\nThis course is not receiving funding from Child Safety Link or any other agency.

DESCRIPTION:Register for a FREE child car seat appointment to learn how to properly use and install your child’s car seat in your vehicle. \nAppointments are offered most Wednesdays\, and registration opens 3 weeks prior to the date. If there is not an appointment available at a time that works for you\, please email emma.schmidt@sickkids.ca to be placed on a waitlist. \n Location: 555 University Ave\, please park your vehicle on the ramp near the entrance to the hospital. \nNote:  \n\nOne seat per appointment. Please book back-to back appointments if you have more than one seat.\nInterpretation services can be requested ahead of time by emailing emma.schmidt@sickkids.ca.\n\nCancellation Policy:  \nIf you are unable to keep your appointment\, kindly let us know so that we can offer the spot to another family: emma.schmidt@sickkids.ca.
