SUMMARY:CPST Training – Fredericton\, NB
DESCRIPTION:Become a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Learn to teach proper car seat and booster seat use and installation to caregivers. Successful course participants are certified with CPSAC for three years\, and return to their communities and organizations to support caregivers either in a volunteer or paid capacity. The course involves classroom instruction\, hands-on activities indoors and outside in vehicles\, and ends with a public car seat clinic where caregivers come for in-person support with their car seats and booster seats. Theory and practical skills are assessed in a variety of ways throughout the course.

DESCRIPTION:CPST Certification Course in Kingston\, ON \nBecome a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician! \nThe Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) training was developed by the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC)\, a nationally-recognized\, standardized\, professional training and certification program provided by instructors in all provinces and territories. SEATS for Kids delivers this training in Ottawa and across Eastern and Central Ontario. \nStudents will learn about the various types of restraint systems and stages\, how to install various types of car seats\, and vehicle restraint laws in Canada. Students will also be required to participate in a short car seat clinic with the focus on educating parents and assisting with installation of their child restraint system. \nThe training is being held on June 13\, 14 and 20th. \n  \nVolunteer with SEATS for Kids \nSEATS for Kids is a volunteer-run organization that promotes child passenger safety across Central and Eastern Ontario by delivering car seat clinics\, seminars and attending community events for donations. Our volunteers are passionate about child safety and car seats\, and love to share that knowledge with others. Clinics run every 2 to 3 weeks in various locations and are a great opportunity to meet other parents and caregivers in your community. Contact us for more information or register below. Contact us for more information at info@seatsforkids.ca or register below for one of our upcoming courses. \n  \nParticipation Fees for Training \nBusiness rate: $450.00 \nThis rate is for individuals who will be delivering installation inspection services as part of their duties for an organization\, business\, charity or not-for-profit organization\, or who will be delivering services as a paid service or for people who are attending the course from a significant distance. \n  \nSubsidized SEATS Volunteer rate: $275.00 \nThis rate is for individuals who intend to volunteer with SEATS for Kids in Ottawa or Kingston ON\, and will not be delivering installation inspection services as a paid service or as part of their work for an organization or business. This rate is subsidized by SEATS for Kids through donations to our organization. \n  \nGroup rates \nDiscounted group rates may be available for classes of 10 or more. Please contact us for more information. \n  \nRefund Policy \nA refund of the full course rate will be issued if your intention to withdraw from the course is received by SEATS for Kids more than 14 days prior to the course start date. This refund will be made in the same manner as it was received within 2 weeks of the receipt of notice.  After this point\, refunds are only issued on an exceptional basis.
