DESCRIPTION:Do you have an interest in child passenger safety? \nBecome certified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) during this 4 day course. \nSaturday\, September 19\, 2026 \nSunday\, September 20\, 2026 \nSaturday\, September 26\, 2026 \nSunday\, September 27\, 2026 \n  \n8:30am to 4:30pm (exact time of day may change) \n  \nWestville Recreation Center \n1759 Drummond Rd\, \nWestville\, NS \nB0K 2A0 \n  \nInstructors: Shannon Salter and Sandra Kalyta \n  \nThe Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) training program is a nationally-recognized\, standardized\, professional training and certification program. \n  \nCertificates are issued through the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada\, and \nrequire participation in all instructional hours\, including theory\, hands-on activities in the \nclassroom and outside in vehicles\, a series of short multiple-choice knowledge checks\, and a \ncertification car seat clinic with members of the public. \n  \nCost: $170 \nThe fee for this course includes your CPSAC membership fees and certification (for 3 years)\,personal liability insurance when operating as a volunteer\, your textbook\, and operation costs of the course. \n  \nYou can use your certification as a volunteer in your community\, as a supplement to your professional occupation\, or as a professional occupation in of itself. \n  \nIf you require any accommodations for successful completion of this course\, or would like more information about what is involved\, please contact the instructors. \n  \nTo register: \nEmail pcbtob@gmail.com to request a link to the registration form. \n
