This is a 4 day training course to certify you as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).

With this training you can:
– Plan a community seat check event
– Give a booster seat presentation at your local school or community centre
– Answer car seat questions for a parenting or prenatal class
– Connect with local law enforcement to plan a roadside check
– Meet with parents and caregivers to offer one-on-one support
– Provide a workshop for your staff

Successful course participants are certified with the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada for three years. The course involves classroom instruction, hands-on activities indoors and outside in vehicles, and ends with a public car seat clinic where caregivers come for in-person support with their car seats and booster seats.
This training will take place all day on Wednesday April 29th, Thursday 30th, Friday May 1st, and a half-day on Saturday May 2nd 2026 at:

Timing: 8:30 – 4:45 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Saturday – half-day car seat clinic at CHANCES (77 Prince St. Charlottetown)
The cost for this course is $300
Your CPSAC membership fees for certification (3 years), textbook, and all clinic supplies are included in this cost.
This course is not receiving funding from Child Safety Link or any other agency.
